A firm favourite amongst campervan & motorhome enthusiasts, the Movelite range of driveaway awnings offers models of high specification & quality for reassurance, peace of mind & years of trusted service.
Constructed using our most technical lightweight 240HDE polyester for hard wearing weather protection, wherever your holiday may take you.
Based on the successful blueprint of our longstanding Movelite T4 PC, the T4E is NEW for 2022 and features an array of exciting options making it the perfect choice for larger families or those who appreciate a spacious touring experience.
Designed in the popular side-by-side style, meaning the front of the awning faces the same direction as the front of your vehicle, the modular concept means it can be extended as required at any given time.
As standard the awning is spacious with a large open front porch, an optional porch door can be purchased to enclose this porch, at which point the central door can be rolled completely back and suddenly you have a huge enclosed living area, with plenty of room for bedroom pods.
A sun canopy can be zipped to the porch to further extend the sheltered area, then finally, a rear sleeping annex can be added to create a private sleeping area without encroaching on the main living space (or bedrooms) inside.
As you would expect from our premium drive-away collection, high-end features are in abundance here, including a full mesh flyscreen on the front door and zip-up curtains.
The contemporary design of the 2/3rds zip back door, along with the aesthetically pleasing new colourway means this drive-away awning will be the perfect complement to any campervan or motorhome.
The Movelite T4E is produced from a contemporary printed 240 HDE High Density all weather lightweight fabric that has been specifically woven to deliver exceptionally lightweight, yet durable awnings, allowing smaller pack sizes when folded.
This makes it perfect where weight and space limitations are of key consideration, without limiting its robust nature.
This canvas material incorporates a 4,000mm Hydrostatic Head Rating and employs fully taped seams throughout, meaning it is exceptionally waterproof, therefore rain will simply bead onto the surface, before rolling off.
The Oxygen Air-Frame is the quickest, simplest and most reliable inflation system on the market, with no adjoining pipes/taps spoiling the immaculate lines of our stunning designs.
The air frame comprises our inflatable high pressure twin tube air frame technology, the famed Dynamic Speed Valve and patented Intelligent Frame Relief Valve.
Inflation is rapid using the pump provided, and deflation is just the push of a button; our exclusive pressure relief valve prevents damage to the tube by expelling any excess air, typically caused by over inflation or changes in the ambient temperature.
All valves are discretely concealed by a Velcro cover. The Oxygen Air frame has been quality controlled to ensure optimal performance and holds our exclusive Lifetime Guarantee* for peace of mind in years to come.
Expansive tinted anti-glare windows grant an excellent vista of the surrounding environment and protect against any harmful UV rays, whilst increasing privacy and illuminating the awning interior during daytime hours;
these are accompanied by embossed zip-in curtains, which can be zipped fully out and rolled back, or zipped completely in for additional privacy at night. The deeper rear cowl found on this model utilises a tapered profile side for a weather tight fit,
plus facilitates both left and right hand entry to ensure accessibility to vehicles from the UK and Europe. A sewn-in groundsheet increases convenience when pitching, whilst reducing the number of bugs that reach the living area and preventing water ingression to the interior.
The addition of twin piping (6mm x 4mm) permits compatibility with both caravans and motorhomes within the corresponding height range.
This product comes complete with reflective guylines, adjustable tensioning/fixing straps, a handy repair kit, rear cowl height tensioning adjusters, a dual action hand pump, steel ground pegs, an electrical hook up point, and attachment points for our ‘Lumi-Link’ and ‘Up/Downlighter’ lighting systems.
There is an array of complementary optional extras available to purchase with this model, including a coordinating zip-on canopy, porch door, rear bedroom annex, a made to measure carpet and two & four berth inner tents.

UV Degradation:

Be aware that (UV) ultraviolet rays will damage your tent if you expose it to direct sunlight for longer periods of time.
Polyester Awnings & Tents regardless of quality of denier material are made for camping use which is normally 2-5 weeks usage a year.
They are not designed for permanent usage and should only be used as camping products.
Camping near the sea or lake can further enhance the effect of UV radiation.
The same applies to poles and metal parts

"UV light will cause the fabric to fade, lose strength, and eventually disintegrate. The amount of UV damage is directly related to the fabric's exposure to the sun and the altitude at which the tent is pitched.
If it is left pitched during the day, high-altitude exposure can damage a tent beyond use within a month."

What is UV Degradation?
UV degradation refers to the breaking down of fabrics and materials, when exposed to ultraviolet radiation, due to exposure to the sun. Long term exposure to sunlight, can cause fabric such as polyester to degrade, beginning to rip, tear and become very brittle.

Why Do Manufacturers not cover UV Degradation Under Warranty?
UV degradation is a sign the product has reached a natural end to it's lifetime. There are different fabrics, different thicknesses of fabric, and treatments to help protect against exposure to sunlight.
However, given time, the sun will do it's job in breaking down those materials, to the point where they become unstable.

If a polyester tent or awning has suffered UV degradation, chances are it has been used to the point where its lifetime is ending, or it has been permanently pitched.
Polyester Tents & Awnings are a temporary shelter, and they are not designed to be left long-term pitched, unless they are specifically designed for residential pitches, and use harder wearing fabrics such as 100% cottons, which can take exposure to UV light on a longer-term basis.

Polyester Tents & Awnings have it pretty rough. Their purpose is to keep you protected from the elements, so by definition, they’re exposed to nature’s fury. Season after season, your trusty tent or tarp is subjected to wind, rain, dust, snow, hail, animals, and (sometimes) careless users.
But for a shelter that has been treated well over the years, the thing that will eventually kill it is something you might not expect: the sun.

In addition to visible light, the sun emits a massive amount of ultraviolet (UV) radiation, which has a shorter wavelength than visible light and is present wherever there is sunlight.
While inorganic materials (like silicone and metal) are largely unaffected by UV radiation, organic compounds (i.e., anything containing carbon, not just your fancy kale) can be damaged by exposure to UV.
This includes all organic polymers, whether synthetic (like nylon and polyester) or naturally occurring (like cotton and wool).
