Kampa Studland 8 Classic Air Pro 2019
Kampa's flagship model...
Showcasing all that's best in Kampa tents, the Studland offers supreme accommodation for up to eight people.
Despite its size the Studland is as easy to set up as all of Kampa's AirFrame tents - peg the four corners, inflate the AirFrame, secure the immediate pegging points and guy lines - that's it. The six berth inner tent sits at the back of the tent and can be divided into three separate bedrooms if required. A separate two berth inner tent sits in the front of the living area and can be set up or taken down as required - increasing sleeping accommodation or living space accordingly.
The large living room has plenty of headroom making it feel spacious and the fully sewn-in groundsheet will keep you protected. There's two side doors into the main living room, both with mesh screen panels and one with a canopy to allow access during inclement weather. The front panel of the living room can be used as a door or completely rolled back to give unhindered access to the large enclosed front vestibule area. The front panel of the porch area mimics the living area panel and can be progressively rolled back until fully open. The vestibule area has a toggle-in tub groundsheet that can be used if required. All side windows feature airflow vents that can be opened in hot weather.
Polycotton Inflatable Tent. The Studland 8 Air Classic Polycotton Pro Range is the polycotton inflatable version of the Kampa Studland 8. The Studland 8 Classic AIR Pro Range is the ultimate Air Frame tent and is the perfect tent for families looking for the next step up from a polyester tent but still looking for great value for money.
Retaining all the features of the poled version, the inflatable Studland 8 Classic AIR Pro Range Family Tent comes with some superb new features including polycotton material and an enclosed front porch.
Polycotton has to be seen and felt, to appreciate how good it is.

Kampa Studland 8 Classic Air Pro 2019 Specifications:
Materials: Weathershield™ Airflow Classic polycotton - A breathable high quality polycotton material that provides all the protection of our polyester materials whilst also offering superior comfort. Our Classic material allows the tent to breathe which reduces condensation and helps regulate the temperature keeping the inside of the tent cooler on warm days. Don't be fooled by the coated polycotton materials used by some manufacturers as the coating prevents the material from breathing and therefore removes the benefits.
Sewn-in Groundsheet - PE 10 x 10 130 g/m² 10,000 mm HH
Frame: Inflatable - external inflation points.
SabreLink™ Flex Lighting system - (We have not ordered this product but if you wish to buy them we can get them in for you.)
Kampa Studland 8 Classic Air Pro 2019 Optional Extras
Comments by Dervla - Sales Staff.
The new Kampa Studland 8 Pro Classic feels so roomy inside. The size of the main living space is 3.3m x 4.6m this is of course with the extra 2 berth bedroom removed. The head height is spacious I am 5' 6" and I had plenty of room in this tent. The bedroom is 140+160+140 which has allowed for normal airbeds to be used in 2 of the rooms and again allowed extra space for the middle bedroom for either camp beds, double height airbeds or just enough room to get on and off your airbed without stepping on the person beside you. The bedrooms have the Kampa standard zip dividers which can be removed if you would rather one large bedroom.
2 Side entrance doors with full mess panels to allow air flow through this tent. New feature that is exclusive to the Studland is that on each window 6 in the Studland case has a zip down section with mesh behind it to allow enough ventilation in this tent a huge selling feature especially for those who wish to follow the sun. You should be able to see this feature in our video. The main door into the inside living space can be opened to create a very large door which is quite lovely when camping in nice sunny weather.
The Studland also has a outer living space which is approx 2.4m x 4.6m. This area has it's own pre-built on vestibule with a very large door again which can be opened fully to allow air and light into your tent. This living space has its only separate groundsheet which is velcroed to the main doorway into the next living space so that there shouldn't be any tripping hazard's.
All Kampa tents as well as the Studland 8 have New Zip down curtain blinds new for 2018 to close off at night for privacy they roll into a pouch at the base of the window but have upgraded this to now have a fastener to hold the curtain in the pouch.
As with all AIR models each tent comes supplied with its own double action air pump. 12 volt or mains pumps are not to be used on these tents. Once this tent is pegged and in position it would only take 5-8 minutes to pump it up. Super easy.
This Studland 8 Pro tent has an optional Zip on Canopy which is new to the Pro models only. The Canopy would increase your living / storage space. We used the canopy a lot when we took away the sample. If the weather was nice you tend to sit outside as much as you can.
Most importantly this tent is made of Polycotton.
If camping anywhere hot especially on the continent polycotton is the tent type to be looking at. If you camped before in heat you would have noticed that the normal polyester tents get very hot inside you can only ventilate by opening any doors or windows to allow the air to circulate. Most people if they buy a polyester tent tend to stay out of their tent when it's hot. If you buy this tent however been made of polycotton the tent remains much cooler in heat. I own a polycotton tent myself I tend to use it if I am camping in France or if I know the weather is going to be very hot. When my kids were young they would have to go for a nap during the day if I let them sleep in a polyester tent they would have wet hair from sweat or be dehydrated after their sleep so you would need to let kids sleep in a buggy instead outside or in shade. But with a polycotton tent it is cooler inside so sleeping with the doors still open of course it would be much more pleasant for anyone.
Years ago most tents were made with Cotton. But this became extremely expensive to manufacture so Polyester tents came on the market. The Kampa Studland 8 tent is a mix of the two materials (Cotton & Polyester) called Polycotton. Polycotton has a longer life span. Warmer at night and cooler during the day (Breathable Material). It does get wet easily and therefore take longer to dry. Each tent has it's pros and cons.
I would give this tent a rating of 10/10.
