Fabsil 1 litre Waterproofing Chemical

A silicone based water repellent that now incorporates a unique UV absorber that protects the fabric against the sun. Fabsil also offers high water repellence and is colourless and odourless when dry. For full applications see product selector guide.

Nothing takes the fun out of camping like a leaking tent, but by using our Fabsil range of products you can keep your tent performing at its best.

A highly effective silicone-based water repellent treatment for all kinds of tent, tarpaulin, canopies and awning fabrics. Dries to an odourless and colourless finish. UV treatment will extend the life and performance of tent fabrics. 1 ltr will cover up to 18sq metres of nylon, 7.5sq metres of light weight canvas and 5sq metres of medium weight canvas. A light 2 person tent is approx 6sq metres.
 

Fabsil Instructions:

1. Ensure that the fabric is clean using Fabsil Universal Cleaner. Shake Fabsil can well and pour into a suitable container.

2. Apply with a clean paintbrush using long,even strokes.

3. Lightly rub in any droplets that form with a soft, clean cloth.

4. Allow to dry completely before exposure to rain or dew.
 

Fabsil Specifications:

  • Fabsil is a liquid wax where white spirits is used to disolve the wax.
  • Once painted or sprayed on to the surface to be treated, the white spirits evaporates, leaving the wax behind.
  • The wax repels moisture and on a treated material the water will bead rather than penetrate.
  • The tent been treated should be dry and clean.
  • can be applied.FabsilMildew can be treated with a mild solution of Milton and then rinsed, Once dry
