Breaking Wind
A strong windbreak is a simple but effective accessory nobody can afford to be without. Windbreakers particularly in Ireland when there is either no wind or it will blow you down can do with the attachment of guy ropes. In most cases guy ropes are not supplied but are readily available. O Meara's recommends there use. Some windbreaks come with poles that come apart both a blessing and in equal measure a curse. Let you figure that one out for yourself.
Old fashioned timber poles tend to be a bit long but none the less do the job as they have always done. The addition of metal strengthening at the top and bottom of the poles makes them even stronger. Hard wood makes the poles stronger again.
For 2008 O Meara's have some new innovative windbreakers one in Laurel hedging and another in a dry stone wall finish. Make your windbreaker disappear using one of these camouflage windbreakers.
