The two parts are separated by an odour tight mechanism. A hand operated pump delivers a fresh water flush for each use keeping the bowl of the toilet hygienic and fresh as in normal home toilets. How does the Porta Potti work?
The Porta Potti consists of two sections. The upper section is a combined flush water tank and toilet bowl with detachable seat and cover, while the lower section is the waste holding tank. These two parts are easy to attach and detach using a lever at the rear of the toilet. In this way, the waste holding tank can be simply and hygienically emptied and cleaned.

Thetford toilet fluids suppress smells, reduce formation of gas, promote break down of toilet waste and expand life span. A correct dosage of the toilet fluid is important for optimum action
Dosage Aqua Kem Blue
Dose 75 ml per 10 litres waste tank capacity (150 ml per 20 litres). A minimum of 2 litres of water for portable toilets and 3 litres of water for Cassette toilets must also be added to ensure that optimal performance is achieved. Do not add to the flush water tank. Empty tank at a designated location and rinse thoroughly with clean water. Do not empty the toilet waste directly into the ground or into surface waters. Store between 0°C and 40°C.Dosage Aqua Kem Green
Dose 75 ml per 10 litres waste holding tank capacity. Next, add 2 litres of water for a portable toilet and 3 litres of water for a Cassette Toilet. Do not exceed the recommended dose as this will not increase effectiveness. Before using Aqua Kem Green for the first time, thoroughly rinse the waste tank with water because traces of other additives can affect the toilet fluid’s action. Do not add to the flush water tank. Empty tank at a designated location and rinse thoroughly with clean water. Store between 0°C and 40°C.Dosage Aqua Rinse
Dose 100 ml per 15 litres fresh water tank capacity. Add Aqua Rinse to the flush water tank before filling the tank with water. Store between 5°C and 40°C. Do not re-use container for food, drink or animal feeding stuffs. Please rinse empty bottle with water and use in the fresh water tank before disposal. Do not store your toilet with an undiluted charge of Aqua Rinse in the fresh water tank.
